My name is Erica Ruedas Hall, your postpartum support professional for the first year. I provide evidence-based guidance and compassionate support to birthing parents and their families through the first year of postpartum, offering practical tools for mental health, recovery, and newborn care. both virtually and for families across the Seattle Eastside (Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Newcastle, Renton) and South King County (Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, Tukwila).
We hear it all the time: “It takes a village.” But when you’re a first time parent, isolated, or far from family, building that community feels impossible. This is a transitional time when you need your village more than ever, and the reality is: you were never meant to do this alone.
I support you, starting from those fresh, confusing first few days—when you’re wondering who let you go home with a baby—to after those first few months, to the later months, where you’re craving connection. I offer practical, straightforward tools for everything from infant sleep and physical recovery to household management. Most importantly, I will help you lay the foundation for your village and give you the skills to expand it and keep it strong, long after you no longer need me.
What I Offer
In-person Support - Evenings and Weekends
$55 an hour
Minimum 12 hours
Serving the Seattle Eastside (Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Newcastle, Renton) and South King County (Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, Tukwila)
We start with an hour-long prenatal intake session, where we review or design your postpartum plan. You get to decide what those first precious days will look like: will you have visitors? How will you get your meals? What does your community support look like? What does your emotional health plan look like? When and how often would you like me to support you?
After baby arrives, I can help with any and all of the following:
Tracking doctor’s appointments and postpartum care
Newborn care education
Household management support and guidance
Integration of new family member into household
Babywearing and cloth diaper support
Managing yours and your infant’s sleep
Lactation at work
Starting solids
Navigating a return to paid work
Choosing a career pause
Finding your identity post-baby
Think of this as your postpartum mentor on-call. Whether baby is already here, you have enough in-home support, you’re out of the areas I serve or you’re out of the fourth trimester and/or facing a return to paid work, I’m happy to support you virtually! Postpartum lasts longer than the first 12 weeks and it’s natural to want or need support as you continue through your parenting journey. We can discuss whatever you’d like: lactation struggles, starting solids, deciding between or navigating a return to paid work or a career pause, or trying to find your identity post-baby (whether this is your first, only, or last baby!) - anything goes!

FAQ
Do you offer overnight support?
I do not. I focus on actively supporting the new parents, and while overnight support can help support the parents, the focus is more on active care of the newborn. If you are looking for overnight support, I can refer you to postpartum care or newborn care specialists who specialize in overnight support.
How can you support me virtually?
While it’s true that virtually, I can’t help you sort baby clothes or make you a cup of tea, there are benefits to know that someone is in your corner. Whether you just need to vent about an overbearing family member or your lack of sleep, or you need to ask if your newborn is sleeping normally, I can support you. Knowing you’re being heard can make a world of difference when you’re in the trenches.
